Now that you have completed the integration and started using ImageKit on your website, it's time to keep track of performance.ย

You can start performance monitoring for your key business pages on mobile and desktop devices. We will analyze these URLs daily using our website analyzer tool and save performance report in the dashboard. If we see a bottleneck, you will get an email alert.

Start tracking performance

Go to performance center in the dashboard and click on "Track New URL".

What kind of pages should you monitor?

If you are running an e-commerce website, you would want to track your homepage, product listing pages, search page, and product detail page. If you are running news and entertainment website, be sure to track a few story pages.

Once added, our system will pick these URLs and start collecting performance data. You should see some data the next day.

You can sort the result based on latest analysis date, amount of data savings or creation date.

How to fix performance issues reported?

Click on "Fix it" and it will take you to the report detail page. It shows all the information related to image health on that particular page. At the top you will see a Pro Tip which tells the needed action from your side.

There is an image by image explanation available with corrective actions. In most of the cases there will be three types of issues:

  1. There are few images which are not being loaded via ImageKit. Check integration guide to learn how to integrate ImageKit.

  2. Images are not resized correctly as per layout. Learn how to resize images using URL parameters.

  3. You are loading a higher quality image. Our performance reports compare images at quality 80, so if you have set a higher image quality in the dashboard, you will see the warning.

Historical performance

To see the past performance data of any page, click on "View historical data" and you will all the performance report saved for this page.
